Attention! Attention! Children who have the desire and are willing to learn how to play the game of golf!!!!!!!! free of charge.

Hello, my name is Larry Whitfield, I am the Ceo and coach of The San Antonio Junior Golf Foundation (SAJGF).  When the SAJGF was first started in February 2000, we figured maybe 20 or 30 kids might join.  As of today we have over 30,000 kids signed up in the program.    The sole charter of  San Antonio Junior Golf Foundation is to give back to the community.  All we ask of the junior golfers is once they grow up, don't forget while they got your start and give back to your community.  It doesn't matter  where they live, just give something back to the community.    We are offering free lessons, free equipment, and the  use of some  of San Antonio’s Premiers golf courses - one of the Alamo City Golf Trail's courses,  Riverside Golf Club.  One of the Jr Golfers from the San  Antonio Jr Golf Foundation, Jesus Mendez is the manager of the golf course.

The San Antonio Junior Golf Foundation is a proud member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for the past 12 years.    We are affiliated with the Texas State Golf Association whom take pride in working with the youth in the community.

I started playing golf  in 1990 and volunteered for different junior golf programs located on the east side of San Antonio. The East side Junior Golf Program at Willowsprings Golf Course, The Carlos Clark Unique Golf Association, and The San Antonio Junior Golf Association, and assisted with several tournaments here in the community.   Two young men, Anthony Flowers and Calvin Troy Ussery . taught me how to play baseball at Lincoln Park, back in 1960's.   As a child I was not given the opportunity to participate in a program such as the SAJGF, therefore this creates an opportunity for me to give back to my community.

The San Antonio Junior Golf Foundation is being offered to all youths regardless of race, creed, or color.    The San Antonio Junior Golf Foundation, creates an environment full of fun!, provide free lessons, free equipment, and the opportunity for continuing education.  Adult supervision and experience Golfers will be available at all times.  Special attention is available to those in need.  Please come join us!  The children are guaranteed to have lots of fun, while learning life skills, while learning the game of golf.

Ps: I do have my Master Golf Teaching Professional  Certification from the United States Golf Teachers Federation since 2011.  And now I have a certificate of the Psychology of Golf.
